Vig – the family needed a solution

By Vig in Northwestern Zealand lies an area of lovely summer houses right by Lammefjorden, that flows into Isefjord. Despite being protected by its placement in a creek, the area was still hit by the storm flood “Bodil” in 2013.

A summer house on a large plot right by the fjord was also flooded in 2017 and the current owner decided to have the house protected against new floodings.

Here FloodFrame is installed in the big tree terrace facing the water in front of the house. The terrace lies 30 cm above ground and FloodFrame has been raised and built into a small rise. This allows for a gradual transition between the terrace and the tile paths encircling the house where FloodFrame is placed all around the outside. The family has chosen a manual solution with the opportunity of automation.
